The project stems from a reflection on teaching-learning processes, based on the understanding that space must function as a 'third teacher.' It proposes overcoming traditional hierarchies by conceiving the building as a living ecosystem: capable of teaching, supporting, and transforming in harmony with new paradigms and the constant evolution of its inhabitants.
The school is designed as a mediator between the city and the Tološka forest (Tološka šuma), integrating the natural landscape into educational processes and orienting activities toward it. The site features sports facilities and an extension of the forest as a learning area, fostering a direct relationship with nature and promoting outdoor teaching and social experiences, while simultaneously serving as a public space open to the community.
The modular grid enables a flexible and non-hierarchical layout, allowing learning areas to expand and encouraging collaboration between departments. Architecture and nature integrate to strengthen identity, well-being, and community. It is an architecture that teaches through flexibility, connection, and change—where to learn is to inhabit, and to inhabit is to transform.
